Meet Odoo version 16 - an even faster and more intuitive tool for your daily business processes.
These updates have made the user experience even more seamless, and the speed and performance of the apps have increased several times. Below we list some of the changes.
Content
Website Builder
Adding images or making other changes required switching from the front end to the back end in the previous version. Now you can do it from one screen.
You can add blocks using the drag-and-drop function right there in the user interface.
For example, you can view products while still on your website.
You can also find and manage social media pages and blog articles on the same screen.
News! Devices - with just one click, you can put your website image in the shape of a smart device.
Grid mode
This mode allows you to drag any block (image, text, etc.) and drop it to the desired location.
Animation on scroll
You can now add animation on the scroll. While the user scrolls down the page, the image effects - rotation, rotation, scroll, or other animation appear simultaneously.
You can edit your page in the mobile editor now.
E-commerce
Let's take a look at the e-shop. In the previous version, it was necessary to make various changes on different screen sides. In version 16, you can make all the edits on the right side of the page.
The product rental function is now available. The customer can choose the rental period and request the rental directly from your website.
Cookies
Remember the banner that appears on every website? Google updates require everyone to consent to cookies. All the data remains on your website, and you no longer need this banner.
Some additional e-commerce options:
- bulk upload;
- alternative products;
- notification when a product is back in stock;
- on-the-spot payment.
Chatbot
A chatbot will perfectly complement Live Chat. It can be used for sales and lead generation. It can also improve the experience of your potential job candidates while you are away. The bot will help you find the job advertisement or other necessary information by asking questions and offering multiple-choice answers.
New app - Knowledge
It can be challenging to manage all the information available in your company, and Knowledge will help you to deal with it. It can be used individually or in a team. Here you can create guides, to-do lists, and more.
As all apps are integrated, you can access Knowledge documents from any other app. For example, you can create a database of best-selling products, and salespeople will know what to recommend to their customers.
By storing user manuals or brochures in the Knowledge app, the seller can easily attach this document when contacting a potential buyer. For example, in the CRM app (when opening a request for a quote), it is possible to send the customer a catalog of products stored in the Knowledge app in a message.
Manufacturing forecast
The seller can quickly check the availability of goods by looking at manufacturing forecasts. The estimated production time will be displayed by entering the required goods.
Coupons and promotions
In the previous version of Odoo, Gift Cards were only available in e-commerce and point-of-sale, but not in sales orders. On the other hand, loyalty cards were only available at the point of sale. In version 16, coupons, discounts, gift cards, and loyalty cards have a unified system, and all these marketing tools are available at the point of sale, in the sales order, and in e-commerce.
Services
The Scheduling app allows you to group scheduled services by resource and reschedule an existing service in the available time.
When you view these scheduled services in the Projects app and open one of the scheduled tasks, you can also download documents in the future, as everything is connected to the Documents app.
Purchase
The Purchase app now has an Alternatives function that can be used to choose, for example, another supplier to fulfill orders on time.
Manufacturing
