Midis participation in projects

The project " Training projects for employees of foreign investors " is one of the activities of measure 1.2.2.3 “Support for ICT and non-technological training, as well as training to promote the attraction of investors” of the 1.2.2 specific support objective “Facilitate the development of innovative and technology-intensive businesses” and 13.1.6. specific support objective “Recovery measures in the economic sector – employee training (ERDF)” of the European Regional Development Fund’s (ERDF) operational program "Growth and employment".

This operational program is regulated by Cabinet Regulation No. 365 of June 14, 2016, “Implementation rules of the measure 1.2.2.3 “Support for ICT and non-technological training, as well as training to promote the attraction of investors” of the 1.2.2 specific support objective “Facilitate the development of innovative and technology-intensive businesses” and 13.1.6. specific support objective “Recovery measures in the economic sector – employee training (ERDF)” of the European Regional Development Fund’s (ERDF) operational program "Growth and Employment.

On March 16, 2023, SIA "Midis" Rēzekne special economic zones concluded contract no. 5.3-8-L2023/11 with the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia for receiving support within the framework of the " Training projects for employees of foreign investors " measure, which is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

Project implementation time: The planned total duration of the implementation of the good practice project from the day when the decision to grant aid was made. Does not exceed the term indicated in the call for proposal, but no longer than September 30, 2023.

The aim of the project is to implement training that corresponds to the adoption of good practices, promotion of export capacity, stimulation of demand, the building of networks, gaining both theoretical knowledge from international-level instructors, practitioners during training, and potential partners during practice exchange and practical skills on lead generation tools, sales approaches, sales assumptions, standards and skills to sell company service delivery following Agile Scrum iterative development in selected markets: Sweden and Denmark.

Midis SIA Rezekne Special Economic Zone has signed an agreement No SKV-L-2016/789 of 21st, September 2016 with the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia on receiving support under the activity "International Competitiveness Promotion," co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

On November 16, 2023, SIA "Midis" Rēzekne special economic zones concluded financing agreement no. F-3/2023 with the joint municipal institution "Rēzekne Special Economic Zone Authority" on receiving support for the implementation of the project "Installation of protective films on glass surfaces to improve energy efficiency," which is co-financed by the Rēzekne Special Economic Zone Commercial Activity Support Fund.

Project implementation time: November 16, 2023 - December 15, 2023.

The goals of the project are:

1. Energy consumption reduction: The project's main objective is to significantly reduce the energy consumption of the office premises by installing protective films on the office building's glass surfaces (windows).
2. Creating comfortable working conditions: Creating more comfortable and productive conditions for office workers by ensuring more stable temperature and lighting levels.
3. Reduction of environmental impact: Reducing energy consumption contributes to reducing carbon dioxide emissions and, thus, reducing negative environmental impacts.
